The Black Keys: ‘We’re dying to make a new album’

The Black Keys >are entering the recording studio this week to begin work on their brand new studio album.

The band, who released their seventh album ‘El Camino’ in 2011, aim to finish the recording in March with a late 2013 release date provisionally in place. Speaking toMojo about their plans, guitarist Dan Auerbach said: “We’re going to start making the new album in the second week of January and we’re hoping to have it done by some time in March.”

Sony Releases Limited Edition, 86-Track Bob Dylan Outtakes in Europe

Last year, about 100 lucky Bob Dylan fans in Europe came across a pretty amazing find on record store shelves: a four-CD set titled The 50th Anniversary Collection. The set contains 86 Dylan songs recorded in 1962, including numerous takes of “Mixed Up Confusion,” “Sally Gal,” “That’s All Right, Mama” and “Baby, Please Don’t Go.” Contrary to appearances, this was no bootleg. It’s an official release from Sony and copies are already selling on eBay for upwards of $1,000.

Paul Weller: ‘No way will The Jam ever reunite’

Paul Weller has confirmed that he will never reform The Jam as “it would be absurd”. The Modfather said he admires bands like The Rolling Stones who keep rocking into their late-sixties but admits he couldn’t do it, as he doesn’t want to be performing songs that are over 30 years old.

Deep Purple Confirm New Album

Deep Purple recently confirmed that on 30th April this year, are going to release a new album, after numerous rehearsals in Europe. Not that they recorded, but they even mixed the entire project in Nashville with the producer Bob Ezrin.
