This week Rolling Stone went behind the scenes of the 20th anniversary edition of Nirvana’s landmark album Nevermind, which will include previously unheard demos, mixes, live recordings and more. Bassist Krist Novoselic and producer Butch Vig provided some insight into the band’s work process, and teased some of unreleased content.
It seemed like Oasis’ Gallagher brothers had exhausted every form of fighting they could come up with: The verbal, screaming fight, the talking-crap-through-the-press fight and the literal fist fight. But now, following 2009’s breakup, the feuding brothers are going to duke it out in court.
To commemorate their upcoming documentary Pearl Jam Twenty, directed by Cameron Crowe, the band presented its fans with an online scavenger hunt, the purpose of which was to reveal the tracks for the accompanying soundtrack one by one.
This is really happening. Lou Reed and Metallica’s collaborative album now has a release date, according to the elegantly titled website loureedmetallica.com. Expect to hear from the unlikely collaborators on Nov. 1 in the U.S. and Oct. 31 worldwide.
