October 1974 - a gas crisis had Americans paying an unheard-of 55 cents a gallon for fuel, the trial of the Watergate Five was getting underway in Washington, DC, the Oakland A’s were heading for their third consecutive World series crown, and WBJB-FM signed on the air. Saturday night at 11 on FM Flashback, Your Radio Daddy spins a few of the songs Brookdale Public Radio would have played, if we were playing rock back then. BTO, Bowie, Rod, Queen, Tull, Loggins, Messina, and more from ‘74 fill out a nostalgic playlist from the days of shag rugs and shag haircuts. We like to say that if you think you remember the Seventies, you probably weren’t there. But Your Radio Daddy was, and he has the pictures, circa 1974-75, to prove it: http://ift.tt/104RS63
